In the 2015-2017 Strategic Priorities Plan laid out by our Town Council they listed a Vibrant & Healthy Community as one of their Top Five Pillars. Within that pillar is the commitment "to provide opportunities for a lifestyle that is happy, healthy & safe."
The Community Services Department Strives to achieve this by:
Facilitating cultural and recreational experiences that foster interaction, connection and a sense of belonging
Collaborating with organizations such as healthcare and educational providers to support and enhance the physical and social well-being of the community
The Edson Community Services Department has a reciprocal use agreement with the Edson Public and Separate School Boards. In exchange for the school’s use of Town facilities, Community Services programs and community users are allowed free access to all Public Schools. We have access to school gyms, classrooms and some libraries (approval of use is at the discretion of the school principal). However, school use receives priority for all bookings, so if the school has an event come up, non-school users will be notified and their bookings may be cancelled. All school bookings must be made through the Repsol Place. Schools will not take your bookings. Call (780) 723-7665.

Sometimes excellent programs with great instructors are cancelled due to love registrations. As our programs are run on a cost-coverable basis, the minimum number must be registered and have paid before the programs can run.
REMEMBER: Courses will be taken on first come, first serve paid basis. There will be NO PHONE IN REGISTRATIONS. A $25 service charge will be levied on all NSF cheques. Courses may be cancelled if registration is low. Complete refunds will be given if a course is cancelled. You will be contacted if a course is cancelled or there are changes in date or location.
There will be no course refunds after the registration deadline If registrations are cancelled, a $10 fee will apply. (this does not include the online transaction fee)
