Infrastructure Department - Temporary Summer Employment
As a team player of the Infrastructure and Operations Department at the Town of Edson, the GIS/Surveying Summer Student will help in enhancing the Town’s Asset Management System. Guided by the corporate wide Asset Management Plan, the Summer Student will support Department champions in collecting, updating, and presenting asset information to ensure that accurate and accessible spatial and asset data is available to the organization for decision making. They will also perform additional tasks under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager as required.

Planning Manager - Permanent, Full-Time
This role is responsible for overseeing program and policy design, and strategic direction for the Planning area, as well as for economic development initiatives and land sales. This position aids in regulating land use and development throughout the municipality to encourage economic growth and investment, maintaining community cohesion, mitigating land use conflicts, and promoting the area.

Capital Projects Coordinator - Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for an effective liaison able to coordinate multiple capital projects simultaneously. It is critical for the candidate to have the ability to communicate effectively while overseeing construction projects and optimizing related functions. Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, regulations and regulatory agencies is considered an asset. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of the Town of Edson’s assigned capital and infrastructure projects.

Facilities and Energy Manager - Permanent, Full-Time
This role is responsible for the maintenance and care of Town owned facilities, the completion, and implementation, of the Municipal Energy Management Plan, and guiding improvements in environmental efficiency. We are looking for a seasoned facilities management professional. It is critical for the candidate to possess strong organizational skills and proven negotiation strengths. Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, regulations and regulatory agencies is considered an asset.
