Family Day Unplugged Weekend 2017

Our Family Day Unplugged Weekend was a huge success! On Saturday, families came out to the Red Brick Arts Centre to enjoy Hamelin, A New Fable, presented by Axis Theatre. The show was so fun and the audience was singing along! Later in the afternoon FCSS sponsored FREE Glow Bowling at the bowling alley, where 120 community members got to enjoy healthy snacks and bowling with their families.  On Sunday, families headed out to Willmore Park for Sleigh Rides and Wiener Roast.  The Town of Edson provided free sleigh rides to families, and EARS helped to prepare a BBQ for all who attended.  Over 300 people came out to toboggan, hike, get on the sleigh ride with their family through the camp ground and roast wieners over an open fire.  In the afternoon, Leaman Exchange hosted a Winter Art Party in conjunction with the town, painting the Canada 150 logo onto the snow at RCMP Centennial Park.  Cookies and hot chocolate were enjoyed.  On Monday, our family day celebrations came to an end with a free swim and skate, and pizza lunch provided by FCSS. We wanted to thank everyone for coming out and spending the day with us and their families!
