Edson MDP Review - Public Meeting
Edson, Alberta, April 9th 2015 – The Town of Edson is looking for feedback as we review our Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB). The new MDP will provide guidance for the growth and development of Edson over the next 20 years. The LUB is a set of rules and regulations for development that helps to implement this 20 year vision. Visioning workshops and a random telephone survey were held in the fall of 2014. The project team has since created draft concepts and policies and will be presenting these ideas at a PUBLIC MEETING.
The Public Meeting will be held at the Galloway Station Museum Thursday, April 23 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm (presentation at 7pm). A more detailed meeting schedule can be found on the Town’s website at the link below. If you are unable to attend the public meeting and would like share your ideas please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“It’s important that we hear from as many members of the public as possible to get a variety of opinions on where we should go from here.” said Edson Mayor Greg Pasychny. “It’s an opportunity for resident’s voices to be heard and their ideas to help form these plans.”
You can also obtain further information about the project including a summary of the community workshops and random telephone survey on the Town’s website at www.edson.ca or by contacting Jenny Wong at Matrix Planning; or Keri Mitchell at the Town of Edson, (780) 723-4402, email@example.com.
