Montreal Canadiens Alumni Hockey Camp

Edson, Alberta, March 24th, 2016 – Young hockey players can learn from the greats in Edson this summer.

Following the success of the Montreal Canadiens Alumni game this winter, some former Canadiens are coming back to Edson for a brand new hockey camp in August.

Community Services Director Jim Desautels says it’s a great opportunity for Edson to become a hockey destination. “It’s a chance for young kids from Edson, and all over Alberta, to come learn from some of the best to play the game. It also gives families from across the province the chance to check out all of Edson’s great amenities.” Desautels adds, Edson has some great family camping locations, amazing mountain biking opportunities at Willmore Park, summer festivals at Centennial Park, and many other exciting things to explore in the region.

The hockey camp will run from August 22nd to August 26th and will be open to all ages from Pre-Novice to Midget. The cost is $400 per player and includes two player ice sessions per day (Goalies will have 3 ice sessions). Space will limited to 90 athletes.

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni players booked to instruct include Richard Sévigny, Gilbert Delorme, Gaston Gingras and Sergio Momesso.
