Road Construction Update
August 30th, 2017
Road Construction and deep utility work continues on many Edson streets.
The Town of Edson is aware of the concerns as we head into the new school year. Construction at the Parkland intersection (48th Street and 12th Avenue) is on schedule to be complete before school starts next Tuesday. Access from both the north and south of 48th street should be available.
However, work along 49th Street and other areas around Holy Redeemer School is ongoing and may cause some traffic congestion during the first few weeks. The school is advising parents to come a bit earlier to avoid issues. Access to Holy Redeemer will be available through 12th Avenue and some access from the north. However, 49th Street, south of 12th Avenue, will remain closed for the time being. Thank you for your patience as crews continue to work hard to improve the area.
One other ongoing project is the leak at the Booster Station. Crews continue to work towards containing the leak and make the necessary repairs. Water pressure in the areas of Old Tiffin, New Tiffin, and Wilshire Estates will continue to be low until the repairs are done.
