Edson, Alberta, May 23rd, 2013 – Edson residents can look forward to another summer of great music and entertainment in the park.

During the May 21st Edson Rotary Club meeting, funding was announced by Rotary for another season of the popular Rotary Sundays in the Park series. Rotary presented the Town of Edson with a cheque for $15,000 to be used for this year’s project.

Once again the Summer Pavillion Series will be held in Centennial Park and will feature local artists playing various themed music festivals at no cost to the public.

It’s a great event for the whole family.” said Director of Legislative Services Ann Dechambeau. “We have great local talent in this community! This year we’ve added a hot dog machine, bouncy house for the kids, along with the free popcorn and refreshments we offered last year. It’s a joint effort between the Town, Rotary, and numerous not-for-profit groups and businesses that have all come together to donate their time and money to making this happen.”

The first event this year will be ‘Rockin’ the Park’ held on June 23rd, 2013.

Donations will also be accepted for the Edson Food Bank at each performance.
