Edson, Alberta, Aug 9th, 2013 – Another big boost for the Rotary Sundays in the Park concert series in Edson.

Earlier this week Shell Canada became a major sponsor of the program with a donation of $2,500. The money will go a long way in ensuring the success of the event, which is aimed at providing free local entertainment for all ages.

“We really appreciate the community support from Shell Canada.” said Mayor Greg Pasychny. “Sundays in the Park has been very well received by Edson residents and visitors, and with Shell’s support we can continue to host these great events at our beautiful pavilion in Centennial Park”.

Sundays in the Park is a joint effort between the Town, Rotary, and numerous not-for-profit groups and businesses that have all come together to donate their time and money to put on events that are free and fun for the whole family.

The next concert runs this weekend as Sundays in the Park presents the Bluegrass and Folk Festival, and FREE community Pig Roast. It runs from 1pm to 5pm at Centennial Park.

For more details and a full schedule of events please check out our website at www.edson.ca/sundays.

Donations will also be accepted for the Edson Food Bank at each performance.
