Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
Under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act, any person has the right to request information that is in the custody and control of the Town of Edson, including their personal information. Individuals may also request a correction of their personal information.
The Town of Edson is committed to the principle of transparency and we proactively share information through our website, publications, meeting agenda packages and reports. If by chance the information you are seeking is not already available through these means, it may be accessible through a verbal request. However, under the FOIP Act, some information is not so easily released. If the information you are seeking is not routinely available, you may have to submit a formal request for access under the FOIP Act. Please feel free to contact our FOIP Coordinator to help determine whether or not a formal FOIP request is required.
