Paint by Number Community Mural Project

Come one, come all! Join us for a fun project painting murals on the new dog park in Griffiths Park. Dress for a mess and please wear a mask if you have one. Drop in between 1:00 and 6:00 PM- no registration necessary.

Downtown Art & Music Walk

Edson's downtown businesses, the Town of Edson and local musicians and artists are planning a beautiful COVID-safe evening to stimulate the senses.  If you are an artist who would like to sell your wares or a musician who would like to perform acoustically, please contact Diana at dianai@edson.ca for more information. Space is limited.

Art will remain on display to the end of September.

Arts on Fire 2021

The deadline for nominations is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2021

Please note: 

Due to COVID regulations, Arts on Fire 2020 will be postponed until 2021. 

Please feel free to submit nominations anytime between now and the 2021 deadline.  

REQUIREMENTS

-on a separate page explain why this nominee should be considered for the award (address the award criteria in your nomination)
-all nominees must submit a biography up to 250 words in length
-where possible, illustrate the nomination with support materials such as CDs, DVDs, photographs on a flash drive, letters of reference, press clippings, website links (copies-not originals)-TO A MAXIMUM OF 5 ITEMS
-drop off the nomination form, explanation biography, and support materials to Community Services at the Town of Edson Office or at the Galloway Station Museum by Friday, September 3, 2021.

Note to Nominators

Nominators must complete the nomination form,  notify the nominee, and provide support materials. The nominator must not be a family member or co-habiting partner. When the nominee is an organization, the nominator cannot be a board member or staff person of the organization. Nominators can submit a maximum of TWO nominations per category. Please do not nominate on someone else’s behalf.

Previous Arts on Fire winners are not eligible for nomination.

Arts on Fire jury or committee members may not submit nominations if they are currently serving on the jury or selection committee.

Edson and Area Arts Awards-Arts on Fire 2019

The Town of Edson & the Edson and District Historical Society celebrated the Arts in grand style at the 8th annual Edson and Area Arts Awards, Arts on Fire.  Up-and-coming recording artist, Krissy Feniak performed her original works as well as a special song she wrote for Arts On Fire, Town CAO Mike Derricott emceed and Manna Restaurant presented a beautiful display of delicious appetizers.
