Alberta Day and Wop May Day

Wop May Day and Alberta Day September 3, 2022 1-5PM

Wop May Day and Alberta Day are being celebrated together in RCMP Centennial Park with High Country String Band, carnival games, picnic races, tug o war, artisan market, food vendors, inflatables, bannock, Indigenous craft, and BENCH SHOW! The event is FREE to attend and, if you're an artist, knitter, quilter, wood worker, photographer, potter, glass blower, pie baker, digital artist, and submit your handiwork, you could receive a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon.

Opening ceremony 1:00-1:30
Bannock and indigenous craft 1:30-5:00
Carnival Games - play the games, win wooden nickles & cash in for prizes! 1:30-3:30
The High Country String Band 1:30-2:15
Field Games 2:15-3:00

Pie eating contest - sign up at the sound booth 4:00-4:30
Tug o war 4:30-5:00
