Our team will continue to lead initiatives such as random-acts-of-kindness week, radio ads during anti-bullying week and bring guest speakers to our community. We will be actively engaging residents at community events throughout the summer!

VISION: A healthy, thriving, engaged community.

The work to create a kinder world never ends. There is no limit on the amount of goodness we can put into the world, but we need your help! We invite you to join in our annual RAK Week celebrations and help #MakeKindnessTheNorm.

You're invited to participate in a colouring contest to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week. Starting February 1st, 2022, submit completed artwork to lexia@edson.ca for a chance to win some Edson Bucks.  Contest closes on Random Acts of Kindness Day, which is February 17th.

To download the colouring page, click HERE

Contest Rules:

  • Complete the colouring sheet however you'd like. You can colour it in digitally, use crayons or markers, paint it with water colours or use pastels.  We want to see your creativity and uniqueness shine through!
  • Take a photo (or scan) your completed colouring sheet and submit it to LexiA@edson.ca. Be sure to include your age, name and the best way to contact you.
  • 1 (one) winner will be randomly drawn from 3 age categories, 0-6 years, 7-14 years and 15+ years. Winners will be contacted following Random Acts of Kindness Day.
  • Winners art will be posted on the CEAT Facebook and Instagram pages, so be sure to follow us @CEAT2017
If you are interested in participating in the larger scale contest with the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, head over to https://www.randomactsofkindness.org and submit your artwork there. Five random entries will be selected to win a RAK Day poster, pin, calendar and sweatshirt, water bottle and baseball hat! Join in to help #MakeKindnessTheNorm.

Tell us how you would make kindness the norm in your school for a chance to win funding for your entire project! Create a plan, let us know how much money you need to make it come to life, and send your idea to LexiA@edson.ca. Schools who propose inspiring kindness initiatives will have all of their costs covered by the Community Engagement Action Team. We encourage schools to involve students in the planning of the project to ensure they get the most out of the program. Good luck!
