The Community Engagement Action Team is a community based society which collectively share resources to promote a healthy, thriving and engaged community for the people of Edson and Yellowhead County through various initiatives and educational events that enhance the safety and well being of all. Our team will continue to lead initiatives such as random-acts-of-kindness week, radio ads during anti-bullying week and bring guest speakers to our community. We will be actively engaging residents at community events throughout the summer!
VISION: A healthy, thriving, engaged community.

If you reside in Poplar Place, Glenwood, Cedars, Griffiths, Heatherwood, or William Wilson, you can make your food bank donations and receive your pink lightbulb at the Edson Leisure Centre (formerly Repsol Place).
Random Acts of Kindness Week 2022

The work to create a kinder world never ends. There is no limit on the amount of goodness we can put into the world, but we need your help! We invite you to join in our annual RAK Week celebrations and help #MakeKindnessTheNorm.

Tell us how you would make kindness the norm in your school for a chance to win funding for your entire project! Create a plan, let us know how much money you need to make it come to life, and send your idea to LexiA@edson.ca. Schools who propose inspiring kindness initiatives will have all of their costs covered by the Community Engagement Action Team. We encourage schools to involve students in the planning of the project to ensure they get the most out of the program. Good luck!
