The Community Engagement Action Team is a community based society which collectively share resources to promote a healthy, thriving and engaged community for the people of Edson and Yellowhead County through various initiatives and educational events that enhance the safety and well being of all. CEAT has partnered with Velvet Energy for the Bullying Awareness t-shirt campaign. This fall, new students in Kindergarten and grades 7+ will receive t-shirts to wear as part of the Bullying Awareness Campaign. The kindergartners will receive the PINK design from last year. Our older students will be receiving a black t-shirt "Be Kind. It Only Takes One." as designed by students in Edson.

VISION: A healthy, thriving, engaged community

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

The Bullying Awareness Video Campaign is now closed.
Stand by for submissions and winners.

To recognize Bullying Awareness week, the Community Engagement Action Team (CEAT) is hosting a video contest to encourage children and youth to reflect on incidents they have been involved in or witnessed, discuss bullying more openly, develop positive responses to bullying, and raise awareness in our community.

We are looking for school representatives who will champion this initiative in each of their schools!  This champion will encourage school staff and students to get involved, ensure school FOIP criteria is met for students wishing to take part, and provide support the students may need to join the contest!

Bullying awareness activities will run in our community November 19-23rd  so it will not conflict with the fall school break.

The submission period starts October 1 and runs until October 31. Following the submission period, CEAT members will view all submissions and narrow them down to three winners.

Videos created by students will be posted on our CEAT social media platforms, as well as shared by our members to their pages.
