Under the new Provincial Restriction Exemption Program (REP), the Town of Edson will now be requiring all patrons/attendees aged 12 and over to provide valid:
proof of vaccination, or
proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours of service, or
documentation of a medical exemption
At no time will these medical documents be kept or stored by staff. The documentation must be shown on each visit to the facility. And please ONLY use the main entrance to Repsol Place at this time.
Youth under the age of 18 who are accessing the facility for the sole purpose of taking part in a youth sport or recreational activity would NOT need to provide proof of vaccination status, medical exemption, or negative test. However, those participants are required to:
screen for symptoms
maintain 2 metres distancing, except youth while engaged in physical activity
wear a mask, except while engaged in physical activity
Individuals 12 years and older that are attending to spectate or use any other amenity in the facility MUST show one of the acceptable options for proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or paid negative COVID-19 test.
We’re asking all residents and visitors to be patient and understanding while we implement this system. We understand there will be some frustration, however, there is zero tolerance for abuse of staff at any time.
Repsol Place features twin arenas, an indoor swimming pool with waterslide, and a hospitality room.
Effective September 1st: Masks are mandatory for all patrons visiting Repsol Place. Masks may be removed when participating in on ice activities or during pool programs.
Starting Monday, September 20th, the Town of Edson will be implementing the Province’s Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) at Repsol Place, please read above. This will allow us to continue to offer the same level of service for our residents, while protecting the health and safety of our users, spectators, and our staff.
