Land Use Bylaw - Engagement

Posted on

The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) has been rewritten to guide development and shape the future of Edson. The current LUB was established in 1990 and required updating to better reflect the current contexts of Edson, while taking into consideration Edson’s unique identity and future vision as it grows.

PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION - A Public Information Session (Drop-In) will be held at the Best Western High Road Inn (300 52nd Street) on March 26th from 6pm to 8pm. This is an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes to the bylaw and ask questions of staff.

PUBLIC HEARING - A Public Hearing on Bylaw 2296, the Land Use Bylaw, will be held at a Special Council Meeting on April 8th at 7pm in Council Chambers at the Edson Civic Centre. This will be an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed bylaw directly to Council before a decision is made at a future date.

For more information on this process, to view the proposed Bylaw, or to fill out our survey, visit our project website at www.edson.ca/LUB.

Please send comments or questions to LUBEngage@edson.ca.
