Town of Edson Class III Landfill – South Phase 1

SEALED TENDERS, clearly marked “Town of Edson Class III Landfill – South Phase 1 Construction - 2020”, will be received until 11:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the office of Omni-McCann Geoscience at the following address:

Edmonton, Alberta

This project is for the construction of a Waste Disposal pad at the Town of Edson Class III Landfill located in NE ¼ 09-53-17 W5M. The following is a brief description of the major components of the work and the approximate quantities:

Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Engineering Consultant, Omni-McCann Geoscience upon deposit of a non-refundable certified cheque in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) made payable to Omni-McCann Geoscience.

Bidders must have an accredited safety program (COR) in place prior to the deadline for receipt of Tenders in order to be considered. The Contractor shall provide and maintain, either by way of a separate policy or by an endorsement to his existing policy. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance acceptable to the Owner and subject to limits of not less than five million dollars ($5,000,000) inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death, and damage to property including the loss thereof.

Tenderers wishing to submit a bid will be required to attend a site meeting on site on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 11 a.m. local time.

Due to current social distancing guidelines, the Tender Opening will not be open to public viewing.

Tenderers will be provided with the tender results via email or fax if requested.

CONSTRUCTION OF SNOW DUMP FACILITY - Town of Edson

Construct a Snow Dump Facility, excavation of common material, hauling of common material, construct a concrete spillway including catch basin, installation of 600mm PVC Storm Pipe to an existing Manhole, supply and installation of a Chain Link Fence, topsoil and seeding and other work.

Waste Water Treatment Plant Monitoring Wells

The Town of Edson constructed the wastewater treatment plant in 2019. To fulfill the requirement as per the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, monitoring wells around the facility are needed.

As such, the Town of Edson is seeking the following:

Water Treatment Upgrade to Degas Plant

The Town of Edson now needs to provide 4 log virus removal as a treatment to the water network based in the existing degas building.

West End Neighborhood Concept Plan

The Town of Edson seeks the services of a Registered Professional Planner to complete a Neighborhood Concept Plan (NCP) for approximately 320 acres of land on the west end of Edson. The Plan Area is adjacent to Highway 16 to the south; Rodeo Road to the west, Glenwood Drive to the north; and undeveloped 75 Street road allowance to the east. The NCP will provide a comprehensive understanding of the implications of future multi-parcel subdivision and development in the Plan Area and impacts on surrounding lands and municipal infrastructure.
