Fire Ban Lifted

Edson, Alberta, June 4th, 2019 – The fire ban put in place by the Town of Edson is now lifted.

Edson Fire Chief Tyler Robinson says the recent rainfall has helped reduce fire concerns in the region. The Province has also lifted their fire/OHV ban for the Edson area this afternoon.

Chief Robinson adds, while the fire risk has been reduced, it’s still important to be cautious when doing any type of burning within the Town limits. It’s important to have a fire permit and to keep back yard fires at a manageable size. If residents have any questions or concerns, they’re encouraged to contact the Edson Fire Department at 780-723-3178.
