Posted on August 21st, 2019

Edson, Alberta, August 21st, 2019 – The joint Town of Edson and Yellowhead County Steering Committee met this week to discuss the Multi-Use Recreation Facility Project.

Discussion included the results of the recent survey conducted by RC Strategies for the Town of Edson, as well as the next steps for the project.

The Committee is aware of concerns over cost implications of the project and is moving forward with those concerns in mind.

In order to place the Steering Committee in the best position to make responsible recommendations to their respective Councils, the Committee has directed Administration to continue gathering information, including more geotechnical studies of the proposed site and proceeding with the detailed design phase of the facility.
