Automated Curbside Waste Collection Update - July 30th, 2018

Posted on July 30th, 2018

July 30th, 2018 - The Town of Edson has officially engaged GFL to commence our new automated curbside household waste and organics program.  Starting in early August, GFL will begin the delivery of new bins to each residence eligible under the program.  Mobile home parks and apartment buildings are not a part of the new program as they are currently considered commercial and have private garbage collection services.

It’s expected all bins will be delivered throughout the month of August, with the program’s tentative start date to be early September. Keep an eye on our Facebook Page and our website at www.edson.ca/curbside for more route and schedule information as it’s finalized.

Much of the program will remain the same as far as types of organics accepted and placement of bins. Again, this information can be found on our website and will be advertised across various mediums leading up to the start of the program.

The Town of Edson remains committed to the philosophy of the new waste collection program, which will allow us to display better environmental stewardship, along with safer and cleaner waste management practices.

We encourage residents to follow us on Facebook and download our free mobile App to always receive the most up-to-date information.
