Bear Sighting - Update

Update - Friday Sept 25

RCMP responded to a complaint about the bear early this morning in the area between Parkland School and Hillendale. Unfortunately, RCMP, in consultation with Fish and Wildlife, had to put the bear down.

Sept 22

Please note that the bear has been spotted in the 63rd street and 62A street areas tonight. Please continue to use caution in the area.

Sept 21

A black bear has been spotted in the Creekside Mobile Home area, along the creek and in the park. Fish and Wildlife are aware and are planning to set up a trap this afternoon.

Please be cautious in that area and along the trails and continue to be bear aware. Keep all garbage bins closed tight and keep an eye on pets.
