The Town of Edson and Community Futures West Yellowhead is inviting business owners and other related stakeholders to participate in workshops that are focused on community beautification, and involving our business community in formulating a plan.
Town Administration will be proposing this to Town Council as an initiative beginning in 2018. Before finalizing this request, we are looking to involve the business community to understand your perspectives on what will make this beautification effort a success.
We are hosting two facilitated workshop sessions on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at the Galloway Station Museum in Edson. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Workshops will include a series of informative presentations, open discussions and breakout sessions:
- 1:30-4:00 pm – what makes a great place, defining Edson’s identity, challenges with pursuing Town beautification, great opportunities for beautification
- 7:00-9:30 pm – initiatives by local businesses, financial benefits of beautification, local involvement in implementation, recap of session one and two
We welcome invitees to attend one, or both of these sessions. Please RSVP and pass on any questions to Ann Dechambeau, Director of Planning at the Town of Edson, at 780.723.4402, or at firstname.lastname@example.org Please RSVP before end of working day on Thursday, October 5th, 2017.
