Booster Station Repair Update

Booster Station Repair Update

Posted on July 17th, 2018

Edson, Alberta, July 17th, 2018 – Design work is nearing completion on the Tiffin area booster pump station repair project.

The booster pump station, currently shut down because of a leak detected under the pump house last fall, is causing lower than the usual water pressure in selected areas of Tiffin/Wilshire Estates.

On May 15th, 2018, Council directed administration to proceed with the repair with a budget of $350,000 to come from unrestricted surplus. This will bring water pressure back up to levels seen before the booster station leak issues.

It’s expected that contractors will be invited to bid on the project within the next week and that work will be completed by the end of August or first week of September.

We thank residents for their patience while solutions were reviewed.
