CAO Appointment. Council has appointed Christine Beveridge as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Edson. With over 20 years of municipal experience, Beveridge brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Most recently, she served as Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Lamont.

Vision Park Water Treatment Plant and Washroom Facility Budget Adjustment. With tenders coming in higher than anticipated for the project, Council has approved changes to the existing capital projects budget to allow the project to proceed. The extra funding will come from a combination of savings from other projects and a transfer of $400,000 of unallocated Federal Gas Tax funding which resulted from a temporary increase in 2021.The project is expected to be complete in early 2022.

Low-Cost Energy Efficiency Projects. Council has directed Administration to proceed with some low-cost energy efficiency projects at a total cost of $20,000 to be funded from the Energy Reserve. Some of those projects include interior and exterior LED lighting retrofits, weatherproofing and building envelope upgrades, Civic Centre boiler and control upgrades, and small scale building automations.
