Edson, Alberta, Oct 20th, 2014 – The Town of Edson is looking for feedback as we review our Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB).
Public Workshops are being help this Wednesday and Thursday at the Galloway Station Museum to gather public input and discuss the next steps in the review process.
The MDP is a long term strategic plan which outlines future growth and development within the Town, including the Town’s vision and goals for the next 20 years. The LUB contains specific rules to regulate subdivision, development, use of a property, signage, etc. within the Town.
“It’s very important that we get a good sense of what the community wants to see in regards to future planning for the Town.” said Mayor Greg Pasychny. “We want our residents to be heard.”
The workshops will be held at the Galloway Station Museum Wednesday, October 22nd from 5pm to 8pm (collecting ideas), Thursday, October 23rd from 9:30am to noon (collecting ideas) and again from 1:30pm to 4:30pm (summarizing ideas, next steps).
