A number of Edson and area residents took advantage of the mobile vaccination bus as it rolled through town on Friday.
110 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered during their stop in Edson. 86 of those were first doses, 20 were second doses, and 4 were third doses. This is a welcome boost as the Edson Zone continues to lag behind the provincial average.
The Town of Edson applied to the ‘19 to Zero’ organization to have the bus make a stop in our community as part of an overall strategy to help bridge the gap between our local vaccination numbers and the provincial average.
If you haven’t already received your COVID-19 vaccination, please consider doing so. In speaking with our local healthcare workers, we’ve had a dramatic increase in unvaccinated individuals with severe outcomes after contracting the virus. Many of those patients were in their 20’s and 30’s.
