Edson’s Rotary Sundays in the Park kicks off this weekend!
Residents can look forward to another summer of great music and entertainment and it all starts with Rockin’ the Park June 22nd from 1pm to 5pm. Rockin’ the Park features a Rockabilly Trio, the Old Hippies, Mental Block, a clown, face painting, free refreshments, a bouncy house for the kids and much more!
Once again the Summer Pavilion Series will be held in Centennial Park and will be at no cost to the public.
“It’s a joint effort between the Town, Rotary club, and numerous not-for-profit groups and businesses that have all come together to donate their time and money to make this happen.” said Director of Legislative Services Ann Dechambeau. “We have wonderful local talent in this community and this is a great way to show it.”
There is also a free bus for all Sunday concerts. The ESTS bus is available to anyone within Town limits. Residents can call 780-723-1122 to book a ride.
For more details and a full schedule of events please check out our website at www.edson.ca/sundays.
Donations will also be accepted for the Edson Food Bank at each performance.
Recently the Town of Edson received 2 sizable donations to go along with the contributions from Rotary and the Town of Edson. Shell Canada donated $2,500 and ConocoPhillips contributed $1,500. The Town of Edson would like to thank these and all sponsors that help us make this project a success!
