Snow removal crews are continuing on night shift this week working along Highway 16. The extreme cold weather and related equipment failures has impacted progress. It's anticipated they will be working in this area for the remainder of the week.
Meanwhile, crews would like to remind residents to not push/blow snow onto the roadways. This can create a number of issues.
- it creates a potential safety hazard on our roads and violates our bylaws,
- increases the time frame of snow clearing operations,
- increases the cost of operations substantially, and
- it causes us to reach capacity at the snow dump facility.
Please push the snow to an appropriate location on your property to ensure road safety and to help the snow clearing process.
