Thank You Snow Crews

Huge shout out to the Town of Edson Operations Team for the snow removal efforts so far this year!
This team, along with our Parks Crews, Utility workers, and other contractors have been hard at work since before Christmas, working overtime and weekends to get residential clearing completed as quickly as possible.
As of last week, (not including the snow hauled over the weekend) nearly 63,000 cubic meters of snow has been hauled.
By comparison (for the entire snow season)
- 2017: 27,000 cubic meters
- 2018: 63,874 cubic meters
- 2019: 54,000 cubic meters
- 2020: less than 10,000 cubic meters
That, combined with the type of snow we’ve got, some equipment failures, and the fluctuations in temperatures, has made it a difficult month to contend with.
The Town of Edson appreciates all the hard work by our staff as we’ve made our way through this.
