Traffic Notice – Oversize Loads

Some oversize loads are expected to arrive via rail into Edson this week and into 2022. The cargo will be moving from Edson to the Cascade site on Highway 47.

All of the oversize loads will be accompanied by pilot cars which will temporarily stop traffic as required and provide temporary traffic control when traffic is stopped. The goal is to minimize all traffic disruptions and keep the stop times of vehicle traffic to a minimum throughout the project.

The schedule is as follows:

• Dec 16^th, 2021 - Dec 22^nd, 2021 (No travel on Sundays). 1-3 loads per day between the times of 09:00 – 16:00 (Monday – Saturday).
• Jan 04^th, 2022 – Feb 15^th, 2022 (No travel on Sundays). 1-3 loads per day between the times of 09:00 – 16:00 (Monday – Saturday).

(Durations are estimates and will ultimately depend on weather, railcar arrival and final schedules etc.).

Local utility companies have been contacted for clearance and/or support as required.

Overall Route: Landfill Road, 54^th Street, Hwy 16 West, Hwy 47 South to project site.
