Water Conservation

Posted on

The Town of Edson is committed to providing the best quality water possible and to maintaining a steady supply for our residential, business, and emergency needs.

Help us keep our water levels high.

During extreme dry spells and high usage, water reservoir capacity can struggle to replenish completely overnight. While there is no risk at this time, we’re asking residents to take some extra steps to keep consumption lower at this time. Here are a few things you can do to help.

  • Odd/Even Watering Schedule. Use your house number to identify your lawn watering days. On odd numbered days, those with odd house numbers should water, and even numbered houses water on even days.
  • Water at night or early mornings when the temperatures are a bit cooler.
  • Don’t over water. Ensure that water is soaking into the ground and not running down the street because it’s too saturated. Most lawns only require about 1 inch of water per week
