18th Ave Rehab Project Notice

This notice is to inform you that the Town of Edson will be proceeding with the 18th Ave Rehabilitation Project from 48th Street going west to the end of the cul-de-sac.
The purpose of this project is to replace the old existing infrastructure. This includes the watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadworks, sidewalk, curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, streetlights, and other associated work.
Parkway Enterprises Ltd. has been contracted by the Town to complete this work. Construction is tentatively scheduled to start the beginning of June 2024, last approximately 120 working days, and be completed by mid October 2024, weather permitting.
The contractor, along with Engineer, will be in contact with each affected resident prior to construction to provide an update of effected services, including temporary water and access to property.
During construction, there will be also closure of certain intersections along 48th and 49th Street to through traffic. We ask all residents to follow and obey all posted traffic signs. While we understand that these types of construction projects may cause temporary inconveniences, we assure that every effort will be made to notify the public of any changes, as well as to minimize disruptions to properties in the effected area throughout the duration of the project.
