Help Shape the Future of Housing in Edson
Posted onThe Town of Edson is working on a Housing Strategy to better understand and meet the housing needs of our growing community. As part of this process, Phase 1 focuses on identifying the current housing situation in Edson through a Housing Needs Assessment. Your input is critical in shaping the future of housing in our town.
What is the Housing Needs Assessment?
The Housing Needs Assessment is the first step in developing a comprehensive Housing Strategy for Edson. This assessment will gather important information to provide a clear picture of our town's housing situation. It will cover:
- Community demographics
- Current housing supply and demand, including a variety of housing options
- Condition of existing housing
- Rental vacancy rates
- Affordability of homes and rental properties
- Gaps in the housing market and opportunities to address those gaps
- Future housing needs based on population growth and other factors
This assessment will provide the foundation for future planning and help ensure that Edson can offer a range of housing options that are safe, affordable, and suitable for all residents.
