General Manager, Community & Protective Services

The Town of Edson is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to serve as General Manager of Community and Protective Services to join our Senior Leadership Team. This position is responsible for the oversight of several key municipal functions, including Fire Services, Protective and Enforcement Services, Recreation, Community Development, and Emergency Management. The role also leads the planning and execution of major initiatives such as the YCE Multiplex project, ensuring alignment with community needs, municipal standards, and long-term strategic goals.

The Town of Edson is seeking a Detachment Services Assistant to support frontline operations at the local RCMP detachment. This position plays a key role in maintaining public safety and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include managing public inquiries, handling emergency communications, processing sensitive data, and providing administrative support to officers and staff. The role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced and community-focused environment.

Junior Lifeguard-Instructor - Casual

Are you looking to start your career in aquatics and make a difference in your community? We’re hiring a Junior Lifeguard-Instructor to join our team on a casual basis. In this entry-level role, you’ll assist with lifeguarding and aquatic programming, help maintain a clean and safe facility, and ensure patrons follow pool rules and Alberta health regulations. You’ll also participate in regular safety training, workplace inspections, and support the Aquatics Supervisor with day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
