Transportation Department - Temporary Summer Employment

The Summer Transportation positions will report directly to the Transportation Supervisor. These positions are required to operate a number of various hand tools and equipment. They will also perform labor type tasks under the direction of the Transportation supervisor or other full-time staff members as required.

 

Parks Department - Temporary Summer Employment

The Summer Parks positions will report directly to the Parks Supervisor. These positions are required to operate Parks -related equipment such as push mowers, ride on mowers, lawn trimmers, brooms, rakes, and various other hand tools. They will also perform labor type tasks under the direction of the Parks Supervisor or other full-time staff members as required.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Permanent, Full-Time

Due to a recent reorganization of core services, this new Division has been created to focus exclusively on accounting and finance. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, and is an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team. The CFO is a key driver in change who inspires and enables teams to realign business and process systems, while supporting the delivery of sustainable programs and services to residents and businesses, with the goal to better position the Town in achieving its mission.

Planning Manager - Permanent, Full-Time

This role is responsible for overseeing program and policy design, and strategic direction for the Planning area, as well as for economic development initiatives and land sales. This position aids in regulating land use and development throughout the municipality to encourage economic growth and investment, maintaining community cohesion, mitigating land use conflicts, and promoting the area.

Utilities Supervisor - Permanent, Full-Time

Our ideal candidate for this role is organized and industrious with an eye for optimization and the ability to successfully collaborate with other departments and stakeholders. This role is responsible for leading a team of skilled professionals in the delivery of high-quality and dependable water and wastewater services.

Capital Projects Coordinator - Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for an effective liaison able to coordinate multiple capital projects simultaneously. It is critical for the candidate to have the ability to communicate effectively while overseeing construction projects and optimizing related functions. Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, regulations and regulatory agencies is considered an asset. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of the Town of Edson’s assigned capital and infrastructure projects.

Facilities and Energy Manager - Permanent, Full-Time

This role is responsible for the maintenance and care of Town owned facilities, the completion, and implementation, of the Municipal Energy Management Plan, and guiding improvements in environmental efficiency. We are looking for a seasoned facilities management professional. It is critical for the candidate to possess strong organizational skills and proven negotiation strengths. Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, regulations and regulatory agencies is considered an asset.

Community Development Coordinator - Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for a champion of connection and community enhancement. It is critical for the candidate to possess strong organizational skills and an ability to motivate participation. This role is responsible for   administration of programs and events that meet the community’s needs.
