Construction Notice - 54th Street

This notice is to inform you that we will be performing construction involving underground sanitary pipe replacement along 54th Street from 1st Ave to 5th Ave . These upgrades are essential in order to upsize the existing sanitary pipe to prevent future system flooding.
The intended start date for construction between 2nd Ave and 4th Ave is anticipated to start May 13th, with the road being closed until June 2nd, weather dependent. Roads will reopen but will have to be briefly closed once more for a short duration to complete paving. A GS official will be in contact to provide notice before the 2nd closure is to commence. During this time, we recommend you use 53rd Street for access as 54th Street will not be accessible.
