Council Notes Organizational Meeting October 18th, 2022
Council Boards and Committees. The 2022/2023 Committee list has been updated and approved by Council. The new list is attached HERE.
Meeting Schedule. The Council meeting schedule has been adopted as follows:
Regular Meetings of Council to be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, in the Council Chambers, commencing at 7:00 P.M.
Committee of the Whole meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers, commencing at 7:00 P.M.
The following meetings will be cancelled: December 20, 2022 (winter break); January 3, 2023 (winter break); July 4, 2023 (summer break); July 11, 2023 (summer break), August 1, 2023 (summer break); and August 8, 2023 (summer break).
The January 10, 2023, Committee of the Whole meeting has also been cancelled and replaced with a regular Meeting of Council at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers.
Board Appointments. Council has appointed public at large members to the Edson Public Library Board and the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
Deputy Mayor Rotation. Council will continue to rotate the position of Deputy Mayor every 4 months between each Councillor in alphabetical order with the following schedule.
- Councillor Ed Moore - November 1, 2022 – February 28, 2023
- Councillor Greg Pasychny – March 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023
- Councillor Peter Taylor – July 1, 2023 – October 31, 2023
- Councillor Krystal Baier – November 1, 2023 – February 29, 2024
- Councillor Trevor Bevan – March 1, 2024– June 30, 2024
- Councillor Gean Chouinard – July 1, 2024 – October 31, 2024
- Councillor Ed Moore - November 1, 2024 – February 28, 2025
- Councillor Greg Pasychny – March 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025
- Councillor Peter Taylor – July 1, 2025 – October 20, 2025 (General Election)
