Griffiths Park Facility Closures

The Town of Edson is excited to announce we will be installing new lighting at the Griffiths Park Dog Park and Basketball Courts to improve safety and to extend the hours of operation for each location.

The Dog Park at Griffiths Park (6th Ave and 54th) will be closed for public use from May 15-18 for the lighting installation. During this closure, the Town’s other dog park located south of the railway tracks on 54th Street will be open to the public. This dog park is fenced on three sides with a pond on the other side.

Dog owners are reminded that it’s their responsibility to clean up after their pets and that use of the park is at their own risk. The rules are posted and waste bags are available to help keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone.

The basketball area at Griffiths Park will be closed for public use from May 22-25 for the lighting installation. We encourage you to try out our brand-new basketball courts at Glenwood Park during this time.
