Mayor’s Charity Golf Cheque Presentation

A lot of money was raised for a good cause at the inaugural Edson Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament in June.

The final tallies are in, and Edson Mayor Kevin Zahara was able to present the Edson Seniors Transportation Society (ESTS) with a cheque for $21,789.70. ESTS was selected as the main beneficiary of this year’s event.

Mayor Zahara says it’s a great honour to have been a part of raising these funds for such a vital group in our community. “The money will help support ESTS operations and assist in their goal to purchase a third bus for the area. It was a great success, and we hope to continue with that momentum for future events.”

Plans are already underway for the 2nd annual Charity Golf Event, which will support and raise money for another local group, to be named at a later date.
