Pedestrian Crosswalk Installation - 4th Ave / 46th St

The installation of new pedestrian crosswalk lights at 4th Avenue and 46th Street will begin today, June 27, 2023.
The contractor will install the poles, followed by the cantilever (horizontal) overhead pole. As the cantilever will be swung out to Hwy 16, the south side of 46 Street and one westbound lane will be closed today between 7 pm to 9 pm to allow for the safe placement of the cantilever. Please slow down and watch for construction crews.
This project consists of a flashing crosswalk sign mounted on a cantilever pole, side-mounted flashing indicator signals, pedestrian push buttons and crosswalk signage on both sides of the roadway.
