Help Shape Fairness in Property Assessment

The Town of Edson is currently recruiting public members to sit on the Regional Assessment Review Board (RARB), which serves the Town of Edson and our municipal partners in Hinton and Jasper. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in your community and contribute to fair property assessment practices.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.

Board members play a critical role in ensuring property assessments are fair, impartial, and comply with provincial legislation. Training is provided, and participants receive an honorarium for their time.

Requirements:

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • A current resident of the Town of Edson
  • Not be employed by the Town, an assessor, or a tax agent (as per Alberta Regulation 210/2017)

Preferred Backgrounds:

We encourage applications from those with experience in:

  • Real estate, law, appraisal, or property management
  • Municipal or administrative boards
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
