Spring Melt / Drainage

With the spring melt underway, Crews will be out dealing with water drainage issues throughout the week.
As the snow melts, you can expect to see water pooling, especially in ditches, ponds, and along curbs. Melting snow and ice can build up in culverts, and catch basins can freeze, preventing water from draining properly from streets.
While a majority will melt and drain naturally, crews will be out to assist the process, with the priority being areas that could cause flooding to private homes and/or public infrastructure.
Please use our Report-a-Problem feature on our website (www.edson.ca/report) or on our mobile app to report any locations that are not draining properly. This will help our crews prioritize and get the water flowing.
