Warmer Weather Means It’s Time to Clear Your Sidewalks
Posted on
As we anticipate warmer weather over the next week, it presents an excellent opportunity for residents to clear snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of their properties. This proactive maintenance is essential to prevent hazards and ensure the safety of our community.
Please be reminded that, as temperatures fluctuate, melting snow can create pooling water, which then refreezes overnight, creating slipping hazards for pedestrians. To prevent this, it is important to keep sidewalks clear and dry as much as possible.
Our Peace Officers will be patrolling residential areas throughout the coming week to ensure that sidewalks are free from snow and ice. Property owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to clear sidewalks within 48 hours of any snowfall or the formation of ice from moisture.
If you encounter a sidewalk that has not been cleared, please contact Enforcement Services at the dispatch line 825-605-5432 or use our Report-A-Problem on our app or website.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.
