Willmore Park is Open

We are excited to welcome visitors back to the Willmore Park day use area, main campground, bike park and select trails this Friday!
Although some bike/hiking trails remain closed as crews continue reclamation work with heavy equipment on the fire breaks, there are still many safe trails ready for visitors. Please see the attached trail information, watch for additional signage throughout Willmore Park, and stay out of restricted work areas.
Unfortunately, the overflow campground was destroyed by the fire and logging operations continue in that area to remove the timber. Please stay away from the overflow area and keep an eye out for logging trucks on your drive out. The overflow will remain closed indefinitely.
We encourage everyone to use the facility, but also ask that you remain aware of dangers and stay out of the burned areas. Reminder: Park use is at your own risk, please recreate safely.
We are extremely grateful for the hard work and collaboration of many who made this re-opening possible this summer. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Edson Cycling Association, Rotary Club of Edson (and caretakers), Alberta Wildfire, Alberta Forestry, and the many firefighters from across the world who worked tirelessly to save our park and help with the clean up afterwards so we can once again enjoy our beautiful recreation area.
