Wood Restriction - Edson Landfill

During fire bans, the Edson Landfill typically restricts the drop-off of wood and other combustible materials to help reduce fire risk. However, to better accommodate residents and manage this risk, we are introducing a new temporary drop-off schedule:

Wood and construction materials will now be accepted at the Edson Landfill on Wednesdays only during fire bans.

Additional staff will be on site these days to help manage the volume and implement mitigation measures as materials arrive.

Please note:

• Regular landfill fees will apply.

• This measure is intended to allow safe, controlled drop-off during fire bans while reducing the risk of uncontrolled fires.

Outside of these Wednesdays, wood and other combustible items will not be accepted during fire bans.
