Road Reconstruction Update

Asphalt on 53 Street is complete and crews have mobilized on 62nd Street (Skyview). Skyview's expected completion is the end of September, weather permitting. Construction will be taking place Monday-Saturday until the project is complete.

51 St (between 2Ave and 4Ave) Storm Sewer Main replacement.

Option Excavating Inc. will be conducting a storm sewer replacement and roadway construction and will require the closure of 51 Street from 3rd Avenue to 2nd Avenue (Highway 16) from now until October 15, 2022, weather permitting. Local traffic will be maintained in the area surrounding the construction site and detours will be in place.

Crews are mobilizing equipment this week with road closures starting Thursday afternoon. Working hours will be from 7 am to 7 pm on an 11 days on, 3 days off schedule starting Sept 12th.

Every effort will be made to minimize the impact of the work on traffic and keep the site safe for crews and the public.
