Watermain Break – 8th Avenue (Between 50th and 51st Street)

Crews are currently responding to a watermain break on 8th Avenue, between 50th and 51st Street.

Crews are on-site working to isolate the issue. During this time, residents in the surrounding area may experience reduced water pressure and possible water discoloration.

Excavation and repair work is expected to begin the morning of Thursday, May 22, 2025, and will continue until the repair is complete.

We kindly ask residents to avoid parking in the affected area to allow space for crews to conduct the work safely and efficiently.

During repairs, temporary service disruptions should be expected.
As a precaution, we recommend that affected homes fill bathtubs with water to assist with bathroom use and flushing if service is interrupted.
