Free Sand Available – Prevent Hazardous Ice on Sidewalks

With fluctuating temperatures, icy sidewalks are becoming a major concern. Daytime melting and overnight freezing are creating dangerous conditions for pedestrians throughout Edson. To help residents keep their sidewalks safe, the Town of Edson is offering free sand for sidewalk use.
Location: Public Works Yard Parking Lot (3240 1st Ave)
How It Works: This is a self-service station, so please bring your own shovel and bucket.
Take Only What You Need so that everyone has access.
Applying sand to icy areas improves traction and helps prevent slips and falls. Let’s work together to reduce hazards and keep our community safe!
